Local Heroes is a week-long summer day camp for a limited number of children, ages 9 to 11, in Big Brothers Big Sisters Upper Fraser Valley programs.  During each morning session, children have the opportunity to learn about one of our "local heroes": 

• RCMP
• Search & Rescue
• Fire Department
• St. John's Ambulance
• Chilliwack Military Museum

Children find their own "inner hero" through social development exercises over lunch before participating in recreational activities, such as swimming and mini-golf, in the afternoon.  

Heroes Day Camp celebrated its first successful year in 2007 and ran in 2009 July 13-18th.
